*new* We now offer canyoneering! *new*
East Rim Expeditions is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based on the east border of Zion National Park
in Southern Utah. Our goal is to inspire our participants to become
thoughtful and competent leaders, adventurous and responsible outdoor
enthusiasts, and environmentally aware citizens through outdoor
adventure and wilderness travel. We call them Expeditions.
We
offer backpacking and canyoneering expeditions that teach technical outdoor skills and
promote adventure, growth, group communication, and respect for the
natural world for high school and college-aged young adults, as well as one to three day trips for families and other groups. We
backpack and canyoneer along Zion National Park's eastern border. Our programs
are NOT for at-risk youth, but for young adults and other people that want to DREAM, EXPLORE and DISCOVER. Please view our Expeditions and read about our Custom Group Expeditions.

Our privately owned base camp is located on the East Rim of Zion
National Park at approximately 6,500-feet above sea level. From our
base camp, besides being able to stare directly into Zion Canyon, we
offer youth summer programs - and programs for other groups - filled with exploration, adventure and
learning, as
well as similar pre-designed and custom expeditions for any group interested in our mission; such as
public and private schools and other organizations.
We
have a library at our base camp full of cool books on outdoor skills
and living, Leave No Trace (LNT), leadership, inspriation reading and
more. People take them on our expeditions to read at night and learn
cool stuff or to inspire themselves. Have a book you want to donate? Click here to e-mail us.
