East Rim Summer Backpacking and Canyoneering Price: $549 Dates: July 6 - 13, July 20 - 27 & August 3 - 10 Ages: 14 - 18 An amazing opportunity for young adults on summer break from high school. On the East Rim Summer Backpacking expedition, youth learn respect for others and self, from group communication and leadership opportunities, and from outdoor living and traveling skills with their small group of peers and 2 instructors. Students backpack along Zion National Park's eastern border while sleeping in tents and under the stars, cooking great meals on backpacking stoves, and refilling water from springs, creeks and rivers. This trip also takes participants rappelling for a day into the eastern portion of one of Zion National Park's canyons. Also on this trip, if the weather allows and if the group is deemed ready and able, the group ends the experience by hiking the incredible Zion Narrows into Zion National Park on their own. East Rim Autumn Backpacking and Canyoneering Price: $549 Dates: October 19 - 26 & November 2 - 9 Ages: 18 - 22 On the Autumn Backpacking expedition, students such as college-aged young adults and post college-aged adults have the amazing opportunity to take time off from work or school to explore the high country of Southern Utah; an incredible ecosystem teaming with multi-colored rock, trees and canyons. These views are compounded when the colors of the on oak and aspen trees change colors to hues of orange and red. On this trip, we explore the high-altitude areas around Zion National Park and Zion National Park's eastern border. East Rim Overnight $89 per person Recommended Ages: 5+ Equipment, food and guides included. Come join us for an overnight at our base camp! We cook you dinner at our secluded base camp and supply you with tents, sleeping pads, sleeping bags and your own secluded campsite! Come back to spend the night at your own campsite at our secluded base camp complete with well-maintained and rustic showers and bathrooms. Lunch and snacks are prepared for you when you show up at 10 a.m. and dinner is later prepared for you at our base camp. On our 2-day expedition we issue you an expedition-sized pack with sleeping bag, sleeping pad, water bottles, tent, stoves, cooking pots, water and food before embarking on an incredible hike along Zion National Park's eastern border. Your lunch and snacks are for you when you arrive at 10 a.m. and we then issue gear. After getting our gear fitted and packed, we hike to a beautiful high-altitude meadow overlooking Zion National Park, where we cook dinner, setup camp, and relax before falling asleep. In the morning, we eat breakfast, prepare our lunch and snacks, and hike back to our base camp. Once at the base camp, we relax, setup camp, eat dinner and sit by the fire.
